Tablature

How to do it

  1. Play the three inversions following the TAB: root position (frets 0-3), 1st inversion (frets 5-7) and 2nd inversion (frets 9-10).
  2. In each shape, identify which string plays the root (C), which the 3rd (E) and which the 5th (G).
  3. Play each shape first as a chord, then arpeggiated; change shape once per bar with the metronome.

Variations

  • Repeat with another root (G, D…): move the same shapes to the new root.

Tips

  • Compare each inversion with the same one from the strings 1-2-3 drill: same chord, different colour.
