Right-hand fingering
How to do it
- Right hand: play C-E-F-G-A-G-F-E with fingering 1-3-4-5-4-3-2-1 (follow the staff).
- Move the pattern up one note (start on D, then E…) keeping the same finger shape.
- Do the same with the left hand an octave lower; then hands together.
Variations
- Continue the pattern up to the top of the keyboard and back down (the full Hanon).
- Try dotted rhythms: long-short, then short-long.
- Play it all staccato one day, all legato another.
Tips
- Lift each finger clearly before playing, but without tension: every note should sound equal.
