Right-hand fingering
How to do it
- Play the C major scale: right hand legato, left hand staccato.
- Then swap: right staccato, left legato.
- Go very slow: the brain needs time to separate the two feelings.
Variations
- Apply it to arpeggios instead of scales.
- Add dynamics: one hand loud and the other soft (then swap).
Tips
- If it is hard, practise just a few notes, not the whole scale.
