Phrases with counterpoint

Play the upper voice of a two-voice phrase in contrary motion.

1. Step 1Two voices sound together: an upper (high) one and a low one in counterpoint.
2. Step 2Play the UPPER voice; the low voice is shown and sounds as contrapuntal context.
3. Step 3Watch the contrary motion: when your voice rises, the low one tends to fall.
4. Step 4Only the upper voice is graded, as usual.
