Count the interval — basic

Hear the interval, reveal it on the staff (no accidentals) and count the note names to find the number.

1. Step 1Listen to the ascending interval: both notes start from C4 (the same natural root on each repetition).
2. Step 2Reveal the notes on the staff; since we are in the key of C with no accidentals, the names read off directly.
3. Step 3Count the note names including both endpoints to get the number (C to E: C-D-E, a third).
