Count the interval — advanced

The full range up to the octave: hear it, reveal it on the staff and count the names to find the number.

1. Step 1Listen to the ascending interval from C4: now the range reaches the seventh and the octave.
2. Step 2Reveal the notes on the staff; in the key of C, with no accidentals, the names count off directly.
3. Step 3Count the note names including both endpoints to get the number (C to high C: eight names, an octave).
