What to do
Play the major triad shown from any of the 12 roots, including notes with accidentals.
- Step 1Look at the chord shown and play it on the instrument: it is a major triad (root, major third and perfect fifth).
- Step 2The chord can start from any of the 12 roots, including notes with accidentals (F#, Db, Eb...).
- Step 3Keep the 1-3-5 structure in any key and repeat until you play the major triad confidently.
