Melody over a progression

Melodic dictation and chord trainer in context.

1. Step 1Listen to the chord progression underneath and identify which chord is in each bar.
2. Step 2For each melody note, decide whether it is a chord tone of the current chord or a passing decoration.
3. Step 3Check that the strong-beat notes land on chord tones and the decorations resolve to a nearby chord tone.
4. Step 4Transcribe the melody and repeat the phrase until it sounds coherent with its harmony.
